Acclaimed actor Nick Moran is set to play the villain in the project, which heralds from writer-director Paul Knight (24 Hours In London) and producer Jonathan Sothcott (Strippers vs Werewolves).
Acclaimed actor Nick Moran — best known for his roles in the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 / Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” films and the cult classic Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels — has been cast as the central villain in the groundbreaking vertical micro-drama Swipe!, produced by Shogun Films alongside Miracle Media.
Shogun Films plans to shoot Swipe! next spring, with a traditional feature-film version developed concurrently — offering both a short-form vertical edition and a full cinematic experience. Trinity Content Partners will manage global sales and distribution.
Producer Jonathan Sothcott commented: “If the Brit crime genre as we know it started with Lock, Stock, it only feels right to embark on something so ground-breaking in this space with Nick as a key part of it.” The team believes Swipe! could mark a turning point, not only for British crime cinema — but for how stories are told and consumed in a new digital era.
Adam Lacey, CEO of Miracle, added: “Swipe! represents the kind of bold, format-breaking storytelling we believe will define the next era of digital entertainment. Partnering with Shogun Films and Trinity Content Partners on a project that pushes creative boundaries while still delivering the grit and energy audiences love is exactly the direction we want to champion.”
